Corby, Percy Edmund

CORBY, Percy Edmund (1879-1966) was born in Stamford, England on 22 November 1879 and article with Edmund Jeeves of Melton Mobray from 1895 to 1899. He then worked as assistant to his father J. Boothroyd Corby and was in partnership with him from 1903 to 1911. After moving to Canada in April 1911 he practiced in Penticton, B.C., then opened an office in Kelowna in 1912 where he designed several commercial and residential works. Corby moved to Victoria in 1920 and remained there for the duration of his career, but few references can be found to his activity there.
