Collins, James Upper

COLLINS, James Upper (1886-1948), was born in Niagara Falls on 4 August 1886 and practiced there from 1913 until 1942. He studied architecture through correspondence courses and articled with C.M. Borter from 1909 to 1912, then commenced practice on his own account 1913. Collins remained active in Niagara Falls until 1942. He died in Hamilton, Ont. on 16 May 1948 and was later buried at Lundy's Lane Cemetery (obituary Globe & Mail (Toronto), 18 May 1948, 31; inf. Ontario Assoc. of Architects)
