Chopin, Ulysse Louis

CHOPIN, Ulysse Louis (1875- c. 1950) of Montreal, Que. was a partner in the firm of Chopin & Depatie, Civil Engineers & Architects from 1900 to 1905. He then became a partner in the new firm of Chopin & Demers, Civil Engineers in 1906. They prepared plans for a residence for Dr. J.A. Chopin, Rachel Street, near Cadieux Street, MONTREAL, QUE., 1906 (Le Prix Courant, Week No. 17, 1906, 45). Under his own name he designed a residence for O. Casavant, Bloomfield Avenue, OUTREMONT, QUE., 1910 (Outremont b.p. 282, 16 Feb. 1910). Chopin was born in Quebec on 11 February 1875 and was still residing in Montreal in 1949, but he appears to have devoted much of his professional life to that of a civil engineer.
