CARTIER, Joseph Arthur Emile (1894- ) was born in Montreal on 15 April 1894 and graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal in 1917. He articled with Aristide Beaugrand-Champagne and was in partnership with Jean J. Bastien from 1917 to 1926 (see works under Bastien & Cartier). He continued to practice until 1945 then joined the City of Montreal where he supervised the Technical Estimates Division. No information has been found on his activity after 1966 (inf. Prov. of Quebec Association of Architects)
