Dawson, Robert J.

DAWSON, Robert J. (fl. 1881-94) of Toronto was a draftsman for David Roberts from 1883 until 1889 and was one of the founding members of the Architectural Draftsman's Association in 1887. He practised under his own name in 1891-94, but only one of his projects has been located, that for a residence for Thomas A. Lytle, Huron Street at Bernard Avenue, TORONTO, ONT. (C.A.B., vii, Oct. 1894, 131). He may be the same 'Robert Dawson, architect' listed in London, Ont. with the firm of McBride & Farncomb (London Directory, 1896-97).
