Evans, John

EVANS, John (1872-1944) spent his entire professional career in Galt, Ont. where he practised from 1910 onward. Born in York County near Toronto on 15 September 1872, he '....made a study of architecture in the early years while engaged in the building trade' and moved to the Galt area after 1900. He worked as a sole practitioner except during 1914 when he collaborated with Henry G. Fulford on a competent Beaux-Arts design for the Town Hall at Hespeler.
