Frazer, James William

FRAZER, James William (1868-1936) was born at Gateshead, Co. Durham, England and articled with J.H. Morton, FRIBA at South Shields, Engl. (in 1884-89), and was later an assistant to H. Wilkinson Moore, FRIBA, of Oxford and Robert Willey, FRIBA, London. He emigrated to Canada c. 1917 and settled in Montreal where he was assistant in the office of David J. Spence. In early 1919 he moved to Moncton, N.B. and opened his own office, and was active in Moncton, N.B. for more than a decade. No references to his work have been found after 1930; he died at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on 16 April 1936 (England & Wales, National Probate Calendar, 1936, Volume for Letter "F", p. 448; inf.
