Fournier, Charles Eugene

FOURNIER, Charles Eugene (1861-c. 1916) was born at St. Judes, Quebec on 13 April 1861 and educated in the province of Quebec, and he began his career in the dry goods trade. From 1894 he maintained a practise in Montreal, at first under his own name, and later in partnership with J.E.A. Benoit (C.R., vii, 24 Sept. 1896, 1). Their partnership was dissolved in April 1898 (Montreal Daily Star, 23 April 1898, 17). He left Canada c. 1899 and opened an office in New London, Conn. (1900-02), then moved to Norwich, Conn. (1903-08) and later to Boston (1910-16) where he was a partner in the firm of Tirrell & Fournier. The office of Tirrell & Fourner declared bankrupcty in early 1915 (Boston Evening Transcript, 26 Feb. 1915, 7). No information has been found on his activity after 1916 (biog.
