Foulds, Leonard

FOULDS, Leonard (1875-1920) was born in England and likely received his education and training there. From 1898 to 1904 he worked in Toronto as a draftsman and mechanical engineer before commencing practice there in 1905. Many of his commissions were executed for residential clients in the Parkdale, Annex and Deer Park districts of Toronto. In 1915 he closed his practice and went overseas with Canadian forces during WWI. He may have suffered injuries there; after his discharge from the Army he returned to Toronto and briefly worked as a draftsman for the Canadan National Railway. He died from pneumonia on 15 February 1920 (obit. Telegram [Toronto], 17 Feb. 1920, 14)
