Gaulin, Joseph Francois

GAULIN, Joseph Francois (1882-1965), active in Montreal, Que., was born there on 18 November 1882 and graduated from Mont St. Louis College in 1898. He trained under Alphonse Raza and A.H. Lapierre in that city from 1898 until 1905 when he became a member of the Province of Quebec Association of Architects. He then joined MacDuff & Lemieux and remained with them as chief assistant until 1933. During this period he also worked on his own account but few references to his commissions have been found. He joined the Architect's Department of the City of Montreal in 1938 and retired after 1950.
