McCORMICK, Angus J. (1882-1957), or MacCormick, was born at French Road, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and much of his early education was obtained by home study. No information has been found on his early training, but after graduating from St. Francis Xavier College at Antigonish, N.S. in 1916 he opened his own office in Sydney and practised there for the duration of his entire career. He was one of the founding members of the Nova Scotia Association of Architects. MacCormick died in Halifax on 28 April 1957 (obituary and port.
