Auld, George Edgar B.

AULD, George Edgar B. (1908-1940) was born at Charlottetown, P.E.I. on 17 April 1908 and educated in Montreal, Que. where he graduated with a degree in architecture from McGill University in 1932. He received his early training with E. Stirling Blanchard of Charlottetown, P.E.I. during the summers of 1929, 1930 and 1931. Auld established a partnership with George E. Wilson in Montreal in 1935 and practised with him until early 1940 (see works under Wilson & Auld). He was killed in an airplane crash on 17 May 1940 near Trenton, Ont. while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force (obit.
