Marchand, Joseph

MARCHAND, Joseph (1898-1967), of Quebec City, was born there on 9 July 1898 and graduated from Laval University in 1918. He studied architecture at the Ecole Technique de Quebec and trained with Tanguay & Lebon (in 1919-20), with Tanguay & Chenevert (in 1921-22) and later with Heliodore Laberge (in 1929-31), for whom he was principal assistant. He commenced practice under his own name in 1932 and maintained an office in Quebec City until after 1950. He died there on 23 June 1957 (obit.
