Smith, David Erskine

SMITH, David Erskine (1888-c. 1968) of Toronto worked there as an architect and contractor. Born in Hamilton, Ont. on 10 April 1888 he attended Harbord Collegiate in Toronto and articled with Bond & Smith from 1905 to 1909. He remained in Toronto until 1914 then moved to Toledo, Ohio where he was employed by the local Board of Education and with a local architectural firm as a designer and draftsman. He returned to Toronto in 1928 to take a position with Mathers & Haldenby (inf. Ontario Assoc. of Architects)
