Wilson, Henry

WILSON, Henry (1864-1934), a leading architect of the Arts & Crafts movement in England, prepared an elaborate High Victorian gothic design for the Anglican Cathedral in VICTORIA, B.C. in late 1892 (American Architect & Building News [Boston], xli, 2 Sept. 1893, 147, descrip. & illus. plates; Builder [London], lxv, 28 Oct. 1893, 320, descrip. & illus. plates). Wilson was one of several architects who submitted designs in this international competition but the Seattle firm of Evers & Keith were declared the winner (Colonist [Victoria], 1 Jan. 1893, 9, illus.).
