WHITE, C. Edward (fl. 1902-21) was active in Sherbrooke, Que. from 1902 under his own name and was later in partnership with J.A.L. Foulds in 1909. His largest and most important work there was an eclectically styled mansion designed for F. N. McCrea (1908) combining elements of the Queen Anne and the American colonial style. His name is absent from Sherbrooke Directories after 1913 but he may be the same 'C.E. White, architect' recorded in Montreal in 1920-25 (inf. Eastern Townships Historical Society, Sherbrooke).
