Wells, George

WELLS, George (fl. 1897-98) was active in Montreal in partnership with William Raeside as architects and surveyors. In 1897 Wells & Raeside designed a large factory at ST. JEROME, QUE. for the Boston Rubber Co. (C.R., viii, 11 March 1897, 3). The following year they were one of eight firms to submit an entry in the competition for the new city hall at Stratford, Ont. (C.R., ix, 29 June 1898, 2-3). Their scheme was not premiated, and the commission was awarded to George W. King.
