Walton, F.T.

WALTON, F.T. (fl. 1870-75), an architect of Niagara Falls, New York prepared a Gothic design for St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, PORT DALHOUSIE, ONT. in 1871 (Canadian Freeman [Toronto], 11 May 1871, 2, descrip.; E. Julian et al, St. Catharines: Our Built Heritage, 2005, 9, illus.). He is also credited as the architect for the elaborate religious complex for St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Convent, Bay Street at Wellesley Street, TORONTO, ONT., 1873; demol. c. 1965 (Mail [Toronto], 3 Sept. 1873, 4, descrip.). His name may also be linked to designs for Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Convent, LONDON, ONT., c. 1872, and to the plans for Loretto Roman Catholic Convent, DRUMMONDVILLE, ONT., c. 1872 (Niagara Falls Gazette, 10 Sept. 1873)
