Wright, Edward William Ward

WRIGHT, Edward William Ward (1891-1961) was the son of the London, Ontario architect Edward Wright, and received his architectural training under him from 1906 to 1910. He served overseas during WW1 with Canadian Expeditionary Forces, and after his return to Canada he was employed as a draftsman by Bernard Prack in 1919, then moved to Toronto to join Marani, Lawson & Morris as a draftsman from 1920 to 1931. During this period, he also worked independently as a registered architect and member of the Ontario Association of Architects, and later returned to the Marani office after WWII. Wright died in Toronto on 13 February 1961 (death notice Toronto Daily Star, 14 Feb. 1961, 26; inf. Ontario Assoc. of Architects).
