Dietrick, Lyman A.

DIETRICK, Lyman A. (1871-1924) was recorded as an architect in Niagara Falls, Ontario after 1900, and he maintained a productive and seemingly successful practice in this town close to the American border. In 1906, he opened a branch office in nearby Welland, Ont. (Daily Standard [St. Catharines], 19 April 1906, 5). A lengthy list of his works published in 1904 include references to his residential and industrial buildings. He may have been born in the United States and he appears to have been active on both sides of the border in the Niagara Peninsula, and in western New York. He is almost certainly the same person named "Lyman A. Dietrick" who died in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on 22 June 1924 (death notice Buffalo Courier, 23 June 1924, p. 16).
