Dutrisac, Joseph Armand

DUTRISAC, Joseph Armand (1906-1988), an architect from Montreal who was recorded as designing several structures in Verdun and in surrounding communities in that city. He studied architecture at the local Ecole des Beaux Arts School in Montreal from 1928 to 1932, and was awarded the R.A.I.C. annual student prize and Honorable Mention for his thesis work in 1932 (Gazette [Montreal], 22 Feb. 1932, 11). In 1940 he formed a partnership with Simeon Brais, but their collaboration was a brief one. Dutrisac retired from the profession after 1970, and died at Verdun, Que. on 3 December 1988
