Dupre, Pierre Louis Wilfred

DUPRE, Pierre Louis Wilfred (fl. 1914-1923), active in Montreal, Que. where he took legal action in 1919 against the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects who had barred him from membership because they questioned his credentials and qualifications as a trained architect (Montreal Daily Star, 5 Feb. 1919, 7). Dupre won the case, stating that he had “.... practised his profession for upwards of five years” before finally being permitted to practise. Born after 1890, no information has been found on his education or training, but he designed several projects in Montreal and southern Quebec before disappearing after 1923.
