Bartlett, Frederick

BARTLETT, Frederick (1857-1936) was the son of Francis Bartlett, architect of Napanee, Ont. It is likely that Frederick B. received his training in the building trades under the supervision of his father, but he appears to have moved to Peterborough, Ont. after 1890 where he worked under his own name as an architect and prepared designs for residential and educational buildings (biog. Jennifer McKendry, Architects Working in the Kingston Region 1820-1920, 2019, 14). Bartlett died in Detroit, Mich. on 1 January 1936 and was later buried at Riverside Cemetery in Napanee.
