Arnold, Everett Blake

ARNOLD, Everett Blake (1882 - c. 1950), architect of Chatham, Ontario where he was in partnership with James L. Wilson & Son from November 1907 to 1909 (see list of works under Wilson & Son & Arnold, Architects). Arnold was born in Louisville, Kent Co., Ontario on 2 February 1882 and received his early training as an architect in Chatham. He may have trained under Thomas J. Rutley, because the office of Arnold & Rutley, Architects was recorded in July 1907 with a single commission. By November of that year, Arnold had joined the Wilson office. In 1910, Arnold decided to leave Ontario and move to Detroit, Mich. where he continued to work as an architect and engineer (City of Detroit Directory, 1917, p. 503). He was still active there as late as 1940 (see list of works below). No information has been found on his activity after 1950.
