Wallace, W.H.

WALLACE, W.H. (fl. 1912-13) was active in Revelstoke, B.C. where he was listed as a Member of the British Columbia Society of Architects, a forerunner of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia which was later established in 1920 (Mail-Herald [Revelstoke], 9 Aug. 1913, 3, advert.). One of his largest commissions in Revelstoke was for a substantial residence costing $10,000 for W.A. Anstie, the president of the Forest Mills Ltd. lumber company, and erected “…in the heart of Revelstoke’s choicest residential district” in 1913 (Mail-Herald [Revelstoke], 26 April 1913, 8). This residence is still standing as of 2018. No information has been found on the activity of Wallace after 1914.
