Hester, John

HESTER, John (fl. 1852-64) of Montreal prepared designs for houses on Sanguinet Street and St. Constant Street, MONTREAL, QUE. in 1853 (Montreal Transcript, 3 May 1853, 3, t.c.). In 1856 he thanked the citizens of Montreal '...for their liberal patronage since the Conflagration of 1852..... and is still prepared to draw, measure and execute plans on the Cheapest and most Economical style of Modern Architecture at only 2%' (Montreal Transcript, 7 Aug. 1856, 2, advert.)
