Perron, J. Eugene

PERRON, J. Eugene (1899-1969) was active in Montreal for more than 35 years, and specialised in the design of churches and institutional buildings for various Roman Catholic dioceses in and around Montreal. Born in the parish of St. Timothee, Beauharnois, Que. on 6 December 1899, he graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal in 1929, and registered with the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects in 1932. Perron died in Montreal on 19 January 1969 (obit with port. Le Devoir [Montreal], 20 Jan. 1969, 2; death notice La Presse [Montreal], 20 Jan. 1969, 47; inf. from P.Q.A.A., Montreal).
