Stone, H.A.

STONE, H.A. (fl. 1914-27), of Vancouver, B.C. was recorded as an entrant in the list of thirty architects from the United States and Canada who submitted designs for the new Vancouver Civic Centre in 1914 (C.R., xxix, 6 Jan. 1915, 8, list of competitors). His name was not included among the finalists, and the First Premium was later awarded to Theodore Korner, but his scheme was never built. He may be the same "H.A. Stone" who was credited with the design of St. Francis in the Wood Anglican Church, Piccadilly South at The Dale, WEST VANCOUVER, B.C., 1927 (H. Kalman, Exploring Vancouver, 1993, 246, illus.)
