ROBERTSON, James H. (1859- c. 1916) was active as an architect in Orillia, Ontario where he advertised his services offering to prepare “Preliminary Studies, General Drawings and Specifications on short notice (Orillia Weekly Times, 5 May 1910). Born in Ontario in September 1859, he was recorded in Goderich, Ontario in 1909 where he had served as foreman "...for several years" of the Goderich Organ Co (Clinton New Era, 29 April 1909, 3). At that time, it was announced that he was moving to Orillia to begin his career as an architect and builder. A biography on Robertson was published in Barrie Gazette’s Magazine of Industry, Sept. 1911, 76, where he was described as “one of the best known and most artistic architects in Simcoe County” (inf.
