MAINGUY, Lucien (1911-1986), a prominent architect of the post-war era in Quebec City who designed many of the faculty buildings on the Ste. Foy campus of Laval University. Mainguy articled in the office of Lacroix & Bergeron in 1933-35, then opened his own office in Quebec City in 1935. He was elected as a Fellow of the R.A.I.C. in 1953, and served as President of the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects in 1954.
