Tomes, William Edmund

TOMES, William Edmund ( -1917), active in Sydney, Nova Scotia where he advertised himself as an architect, and as a Member of the Society of Architects (M.S.A.) of England (Sydney Record, 1 April 1912, 6, advert.). He was also a teacher of architectural drawing at the Technical School in Sydney (Nova Scotia, Journals of the House of Assembly, 1913-14). In 1911 he designed the Mission Hall for the Anglican parish of All Saints Church, NEW WATERFORD, N.S. (dwgs. Anglican Diocese Archives, Halifax).
