Simard, Roland

SIMARD, Roland (fl. 1921-1955) was active in Montreal, Que. where he studied architecture at the Ecole Polytechnique and graduated in 1921. He joined the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects in 1924 and practised under his own name, as well as collaborating on major commissions with other Montreal architects. In 1928 he was briefly in partnership with Eugene Larose (see list of works under Larose & Simard). In 1946 he was described as Supervising Architect for the Province of Quebec (Montreal Daily Star, 2 Feb. 1946, 3). Simard resigned from the P.Q.A.A. in 1955.
