Stewart, Sidney

STEWART, Sidney (c. 1867- c. 1912) opened an office as an architect in Kerrobert, Sask. in October 1910 and later registered with the Saskatchewan Assoc. of Architects in March 1912. Born in Iowa, he graduated from Iowa State College and practised under his own name in Texarkana, Texas from 1903 until 1907 (William T. Comstock, The Architect’s Directory, 1904-05, 99, list of architects in Texas). He arrived in Canada in early 1910, and remained in Saskatchewan until late 1912, but no references to his works there have been found (inf. S.A.A., Application for Membership dated 14 March 1912).
