Leleu, Francis Henry

LELEU, Francis Henry (1874-1971), active in Hamilton, Ont. from 1911 where he worked as assistant in the office of Prack & Prack from 1911-14, and 1919 to 1931. By 1934 he had formed a partnership with H. Bryan Gilbert, as Gilbert & Leleu. Born in London, England on 17 May 1874 he was educated at East London Technical College and at the City of London Guilds College. He articled with Sir F. Bramwell & Harris in 1898-1900, and arrived in Canada before 1910. Leleu died in Hamilton on 21 November 1971 (inf. Ontario Association of Architects)
