Lenz, Charles Frederick

LENZ, Charles Frederick (1907-1990) was active in Hamilton, Ont. for his entire professional career, at first under his own name from 1936, and later in partnership with Reginald E. McDonnell from 1943 until after 1950 (see list of works under McDonnell & Lenz). He attended Highfield School and Hillcrest School in Hamilton, and later graduated from the School of Architecture at the Univ. of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1933. Lenz served as President of the Ontario Association of Architects in 1949, and was nominated as a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Inst. of Canada in 1956. He retired from practise after 1980.
