Kelly, James

KELLY, James (1851- c. 1912 ) of Nanaimo, B.C. is listed variously as a miner, contractor, and, from 1893 until 1912, as an architect. Born in the United States on 13 December 1851 he emigrated to Canada in 1882. He obtained many commissions and was able to sustain his architectural practice in Nanaimo until 1905 when he moved to Vancouver to continue his career.
