HOTEL, QUEBEC CITY, 1880. The elaborate plans for a new hotel in Quebec City, as prepared by Gauvreau, were examined by the Governor General and Her Royal Highness, who made several suggestions regarding the style and appearance of the proposed building (Evening Star [Montreal], 31 July 1880, 3, descrip.). It is unclear if any portion of Gavreau's plans were followed.
