Quigley

QUIGLEY, Mr. (fl. 1831-32) was recorded as an architect who submitted a Plan & Estimate for a new Penitentiary and House of Correction at Quebec City in 1831, but his proposal was later set aside and the commission was awarded to Thomas Trigge (Lower Canada, Journal of the House of Assembly, Vol. 40, 1831, 78). He may be related to (or perhaps the same as) Michael Quigley, a master plasterer active in that city from 1823 until 1846 (A.J.H. Richardson, Quebec City: Architects, Artisans and Builders, 1984, 468, 485).
