Prack, Arthur Edward

PRACK, Arthur Edward (1892-1979), a member of the Prack family of industrial architects and engineers who operated offices in Pittsburgh, Hamilton and Toronto. Together with his brothers Bernard H., Frederick, and Walter Prack, he helped to establish the two Canadian branches of this American firm. Arthur was born in Pittsburgh, Penn. on 29 February 1892 and educated at the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He moved to Canada in 1910 as local representative of Prack & Perrine, Architects & Engineers , and later became president and managing director of its Canadian operations in 1917 when the firm name was changed to Bernard H. Prack, Industrial Architect & Engineer (see list of works under Bernard Prack). A.E. Prack died at Phoenix, Arizona on 3 March 1979 (obit.
