Pocock, Henry

POCOCK, Henry (fl. 1909-11) was an architect and President of the London Concrete Machinery Company. He was among the first designers and contractors in western Ontario to experiment with the use of cement block construction. In 1908 he designed Salem Methodist Church, DERWENT, ONT. (Const., ii, Feb. 1909, 82, 84, illus. & descrip.). In 1911 he was credited with the design of a church, likely using the same construction techinque, in nearby FOLDENS CORNERS, ONT. (C.R., xxv, 8 March 1911, 137).
