Pinsonnault, Joseph Leon

PINSONNAULT, Joseph Leon (1871-1938) was active in Quebec City where he first registered with the Province of Quebec Association of Architects on 9 August 1898. He joined the office of Rene P. Lemay as an assistant in 1894, and later gained valuable experience and training in the office of Ouellet & Leveseque. In 1913 the Municipal Council of the City of Quebec appointed him as Chief Inspector of Buildings, a position that included the responsibilities of City Architect. During the next twenty-five years he designed several civic buildings including fire halls, police stations, hospitals, and public markets.
