Pilon, Joseph Elzear

PILON, Joseph Elzear (1893-1930), active in Hull, Que. where he was partner in the firm of Brodeur & Pilon. Born in Cassleman, Ont. in 1893 he attended College Notre Dame in Hull, and studied architecture at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal where he graduated in 1920. The following year he was invited by Charles Brodeur, the leading architect in Hull, to form a partnership (see list of works under Brodeur & Pilon). Their firm was remarkably successful, but their collaboration ended with the untimely death of Pilon on 5 April 1930 (obit.
