Pigeon, Mr.

PIGEON, Mr. -, (fl. 1895), a pioneering architect and one of the first professionals to work in Alberta. In early 1895 he formed a partnership with F.X. Deggendorfer, and the firm of Pigeon & Deggendorfer were credited with the design of a brick residence for A. Mallette, a local manager of the Jacques Cartier Bank, located on Lots 1 & 2, Block 5, between Fraser Avenue and Queen's Avenue, EDMONTON, N.W.T. (Edmonton Bulletin, 18 April 1895, 1). By August 1895 the partnership had been dissolved, and Pigeon had left the Territory and was reported in Rossland, B.C. (Edmonton Bulletin, 15 Aug. 1895, 1).
