Jewett, Albert Burton

JEWETT, Albert Burton (1876-c. 1930), a native of the Canadian Maritimes, was born in Keswick Ridge, New Brunswick on 25 May 1876. He moved to the United States and studied architecture at Chicago, Ill. about 1895. After 1900 he moved to Waterloo, Iowa '..where he opened an office and had a very successful practice' (biog. Manitoba Free Press [Winnipeg], 30 June 1906, 10). From 1906 he was active in Winnipeg, Man. where he was in partnership with Eldred D. Tuttle. Their collaboration ended when Jewett left Canada in 1908 and moved to Milwaukee, Wisc. to continue his career.
