COMPETITIONS

CALGARY, ALTA., City Hall, 1907. The architect listed as "Mr. Harwood [sic], architect of Winnipeg" is almost certainly the same Victor Horwood who submitted an entry in the competition for the new City Hall in Calgary (see list of competitors in the Morning Albertan [Calgary], 7 May 1907, 4). His design, one of nine schemes sent in, was passed over in favour of the winning proposal by William M. Dodd of Calgary.
