BOUCHARD, Maurice Rene (1909-1982) of Quebec City where he was born on 16 June 1909. He attended the Technical School there, and graduated from the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Quebec in 1932. He trained in the local offices of Ludger Robitaille, J.A. Bigonesse, Raoul Chenevert and Lorenzo Auger before forming a partnership with J.E.G. Amyot and Pierre L. Rinfret in December 1934 (see list of works under Amyot, Bouchard & Rinfret). In February 1946 Amyot left the partnership and the firm of Bouchard & Rinfret continued to practise until 1956. No information has been found on Bouchard after 1956 (biog. and port. Biographies Francaises d'Amerique, 1950, 806; inf. Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects). The Archives Nationales du Quebec at Ste. Foy holds a collection of drawings prepared by Bouchard and his partners from 1935 to 1967
