BERTRAND, Jean Baptiste (fl. 1876-98) was active in Quebec City where he commenced practice in 1876. His name later appears in professional directories there from 1881 until 1897, but only one of his projects has been found, that of a substantial six storey addition to the department store for L. Paquet & Co., St. Joseph Street, QUEBEC CITY, QUE., 1890 (C.A.B., iii, July 1890, 77). He was recorded as an active member of the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects until 1900.
