Benoit, Uldege T.

BENOIT, Uldege T. (1880-1961), active in Montreal, Que., was born in St. Angele, Que. in 1880 and graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal in 1912. He practiced in Montreal in 1912-17, then in Halifax, N.S. in 1917-20 before returning to Montreal. He joined the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects in 1913 and retired in January 1960. Benoit died in Lachine, Que. on 28 March 1961 (death notice Montreal Daily Star, 30 March 1961, 29; biog. R. Hamilton, Prominent Men of Canada, 1931-32, 275)
