Belanger, Alphonse

BELANGER, Alphonse (1909-c. 1981), born in Sherbrooke, Que. on 3 November 1909, and was educated there and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montreal where he obtained a degree in architecture in 1934. He trained in Montreal with A. Beaugrand-Champagne, then opened his own office in Sherbrooke in 1935 where much of his early work was obtained through commissions from the Roman Catholic diocese.
