Barber, Frederick W.

BARBER, Frederick W. (fl. 1859-60) advertised himself as an architect and civil engineeer in Toronto in early 1859 (Globe [Toronto], 1 March 1859, 3). He submitted an entry in the competition for the House of Refuge on the Don River at Gerrard Street, but his scheme was passed over and John Tully was declared the winner (City of Toronto Archives, City Council Minutes, 1859, 204)
